Happy New (Liturgical) Year's Eve

I'm really not losing it.  Really.  Today is the last Sunday of this Liturgical year. The time is coming to prepare the way of the Lord as St John the Baptist did in the New Testament.  It's a good time to reflect on the fact that Christ will come again.

Go listen to a good sermon or two at Audio Sancto

Remembrance Day

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam

Lest We Forget

Prayers for the Church Suffering

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.
